'Yes I am petty, but you are also very impatient, lady': Infuriating driver makes it impossible for guy to back out of his parking spot, he gets even by making her park elsewhere

Impatient drivers are a hazard to everyone in their midst. This guy was getting into his car with his wife after their weekly trip to the grocery store when an impatient driver began honking at them because she wanted their parking space. Of course, this was pretty unnecessary, but the author and his wife just went about their routine. They finished putting their groceries in the trunk and got into their car at their own pace, while this lady was driving closer and closer to their car to make herself known. The author obviously had taken the hint at this point, but this woman couldn't help herself. 

It got to the point that by the time the author was backing out of his parking space, he could barely move because this woman's car was so close to his. It's as if she wanted to get into an accident. At that point, the author had had enough of this lady and decided to enact some well-deserved petty revenge…

  • We have to applaud the author at this point for deciding to waste this woman's time after she wasted so much of his. The truth of the matter is that it would have been so much quicker and easier for him to back out of the space if the lady had kept her distance. However, her impatience got the better of her, and she ended up suffering the consequences!

    This happened today. After going shopping at our local mall, my wife and I were putting our kids in the car as some lady was waiting for us to pull out so she could take the parking spot.

    As I am putting my oldest in the car, I was talking to him about what he wanted to do for lunch. During this conversation, the lady started getting agitated and beeping her horn at us.

    I didn't know she was even there to begin with but I thought whatever. As I am getting in the car, my wife told me that the lady must want our spot because her blinker is on.

    Meanwhile, she just keeps beeping. So I said "screw it, I'm leaving."

    This is when the petty revenge kicks in. As I try to back out, she was too close to my car so I couldn't pull out of the spot. As I tried to move out, she kept closer to my car.

    In this entire timespan, about 5 minutes have passed. I look at my wife and tell her, at this point the lady could have found another spot so since she didn't want to let me out, I'll make sure she finds another spot.

    I then pull back into the spot, park my car, and get out to walk back into the mall. The lady then speeds off from the spot while I immediately get back into my car and leave.

    Glint Bladesong ⚫ . If someone honks at me because they are impatient for the parking spot I'm currently in, I find that the sound of their horn helps me remember something I forgot to get from the shops, something like a coffee from the café.

    seats and getting all the sand shaken out of their shoes. Some a it starts yelling from his car "Any day, now!" I started moving in slow motion and eventually he took off very angrily. People that do this to people with kids are the worst.

    MsLida Rose · I get really annoyed waiting for a spot but I would never ever honk at the person. I try to remember to back out right away when I know someone is waiting for my spot but I would probably be very very slow if someone honked at me.
